Review Mac OS Snow Leopard

As you may know that Apple has new operating system codename Snow Leopard. They said that the focus of Snow Leopard is to make great things from previous OS, Leopard, better. They improve some areas to make it faster, simpler, and better. What’s new from Snow Leopard?

- Customizable Spotlight search options
- Enhanced icon view that lets you thumb through a multipage document or watch a QuickTime movie
- Exposé is refined and more convenient, new look and integrated in the dock
- Stack has scroll to make you easy see all items
- Time Machine is 50% faster and reduces the time it takes to complete initial backup to Time Capsule
- Shutting down 75% faster
- Joining wireless networks 55% faster
- Snow Leopard takes up less disk space than previous version, freeing about 6GB.
- New design and performance increase
- Automatic time zone setup if you travel around the world.
- More efficient file sharing using bonjour
- Faster browsing with Safari 4
- Easier disk eject of flash disk or external harddrive
- Ichat more reliable and supports higher resolution 640x480
- Can input Chinese character by using multi touch trackpad
Snow Leopard will ship on September 2009 and it will cost for existing Leopard users for $29, or for the family pack at $49 (5 computers). For a qualifying computer bought after June 8, 2009, the upgrade will cost $10.

It is really awesome operating system, but unfortunately I don’t have macbook. Hope to get it soon. However, some torrent site has snow leopard available for download. I don’t know what version.
