Wordpress Tutorial: Simple Steps to Add Alexa Rank Widget

Hello everyone. In this post, I would like to share simple steps to add Alexa rank widget into your wordpress blog. Alexa rank is common indicator to see how popular your website is. The smallest alexa rank means that your website popularity is high. In other words, your website gets high traffic rank. One way to obtain Alexa rank smaller is by putting Alexa widget on your website. We are going to do it in wordpress now. Let’s follow the steps below

1. Go to Alexa website

2. Choose “For Site Owners” menu

3. Choose “Get Traffic Widgets”

4. Go to section “Alexa Site Stats Button” or “Alexa Traffic Rank Button”

5. Enter your website address

6. Choose “Build Widget”

7. There are three size of widget. In this step, we take Button (120 x 95)

8. Copy the script (CTRL + C)

9. Go to your wordpress admin

10. Choose Appearance -> Widgets

11. Drag Text Widget to your sidebar

12. Paste your Alexa script into this widget and give it a title

I recently updated my wordpress theme, deerawan-cloudy. You will be amazed with lot of features that come with it. Lets see

Two Color Schemes (new)

Deerawan-cloudy now has blue and green colors. Both of these colors are so beautiful and awesome.

Theme options will allow you to configure your adsense code, feedburner, facebook and twitter address.

You can add sub menu from your parent menu. You will see nice effect when you hover on parent menu.

It is a helpful feature for visitors who want to go back to top.

Now, you can add your twitter, facebook and feedburner address. It can be configured via theme options.

Adsense Ready

Deerawan-cloudy doesn’t support adsense in post anymore but you can still have four locations where you can add your adsense. You can put adsense in header, in first sidebar, in second sidebar and in middle (between post and comment).
