If you use Gmail, you must notice that there is a new product from Google called Google Buzz. It was created in order to compete with other social networking site like Twitter, Facebook, and Yahoo Meme. In Google Buzz, you can share updates, photos and even videos. Google Buzz is available inside Gmail, at buzz.google.com, on Google Profile pages and on mobile devices.

Like Twitter and Yahoo Meme, you can follow and be followed by your friends.  You can only follow your friends that already have Gmail account. For your info, Google integrates Buzz in Gmail in purpose to create a big social network between Gmail users and also to enhance Gmail features so user can easily read email and do social networking activities at once. Another interesting feature is you can import stuff from Twitter, Picasa, Flickr, and Google Reader.

Using Google Buzz is so easy. In Gmail, you can access Buzz by clicking Buzz under Inbox. Google really give attention to the simplicity and user friendly interface of Google Buzz. I’m sure that you will not be hard to use it. If you don’t have your profile picture set yet, you will be directed to Google Profile to upload your photo. Last tried when I want to use Yahoo Meme, I had to give my email first and then I got the invitation email to activate my account. Now, you don’t need it anymore. Yahoo meme is open for public. In the main page, you just choose “create your meme”

Yahoo Meme team will send you an email to enable you to use it. As I said in previous post, I will try to cover all interesting features of Yahoo Meme in this post.

Yup,  if you already have Yahoo ID, you use it as your username and password to sign into Yahoo Meme.

This is one interesting features that Twitter doesn’t have.

You can use the tags <b>, <i> e <blockquote> to give style to your posts.

There are six themes available you can choose.

5. It is repost, not retweet

If you are familiar with Twitter, you must know term retweet. But in Yahoo Meme, it is called Repost.

6. You can give comment

Yay, you can give comment to another user status or share. Twitter has this feature too called “reply”.

7. You can follow another user

Same with Twitter, you can follow another user and you can read their all updated status in your Yahoo Meme dashboard.

Yahoo! has announced a new microblogging website called Yahoo Meme. It can be considered as a Twitter clone but with more features such as image, video and audio sharing. Yahoo Meme is still closed for registration but you can leave your email there to get the account. However, I’m still in registration process and still not be approved. I’ll review another features if I successfully be registered.
