nowGoogle: 10 Multiple Search Engines

In my last post about multiple search engine, I wrote about Bingle, a website which displays search engine results from Google and Bing. Now, there is nowGoogle which can display until 10 results from Search Engine. Wow! You can use it if you want to see your search result in many search engines.

The results you can see are from Google, Bing, Yahoo, Ask, AlltheWeb, AOL, Lycos, Dogpile, Altavista and Clusty. Each result separated in tabs. So, you can switch to see the result from another search engine easily.

nowGoogle also gives you options to choose what you want to search. Is it ebook, images, downloads, lyrics, music, web search, or videos? You decide. Try nowGoogle now for enhancing your search experiences.

Finally, I’ve changed my old Yahoo Messenger 9 to new Yahoo Messenger 10. I thought it is time to feel the new one. Hmm…the installation process is easy. However, it is not offline installer, so you need internet connection. First impression after I run YM 10 is the interface is changed. You can choose language in your login area now. Many languages are supported start from English, Thai, Vietnam, Bahasa Indonesia, Italia, and more.

After login process, you can see two tabs inside YM 10. There are Contacts and Y! Updates. Contacts tab will display you all of your friend and Y! Updates will display all latest updates from your friends such as status. It’s pretty clear to see what is going on with this latest one. Hearing what others have to say about it should make a big difference to your decision if you want to upgrade or not. It’s like if you were looking at upgrading your internet connection, you’d want to read reviews about broadband packages from o2 and from elsewhere. It is great hearing other experiences of it to really get an understanding of what it is like.

YM 10 - Contact and Y! Updates tab

Each tab has its own options and customizations. For Contacts tab, you can see options like “Show Offline Contacts”, “Show Empty Groups”, “Sort by Name” and many more. For Y! Updates, you can decide your friend’s status come from such as Twitter, MyBloglog, Yahoo 360 plus, Last.fm, and many more. Unfortunately, there is no from Facebook. Other customization is you can also decide which friend that you want to see the updates.

In my YM 9, I got a problem when changing my display image. After I had chosen the image, sometimes YM wouldn’t set it as my display image. That problem has been solved in this YM 10. One last feature of YM 10 is new video calling. I have not tried it due to lack of my internet speed in my location, Indonesia. Overall, YM 10 is better and worth to try. Yes, sometimes you have friends that always set their status as invisible and how do you know if they are online. Yup, you can know their real status by using the service from ydetector.com. They will tell you the real status of your friend in Yahoo Messenger.

Finally, I was approved by Yahoo Meme to use and try their services. If you want an account at Yahoo Meme, you just leave your email there. Yahoo Meme team will send you an email to enable you to use it. As I said in previous post, I will try to cover all interesting features of Yahoo Meme in this post.

1. Sign in with Yahoo ID

Yup, if you already have Yahoo ID, you use it as your username and password to sign into Yahoo Meme.

This is one interesting features that Twitter doesn’t have.

There are six themes available you can choose.

5. It is repost, not retweet

If you are familiar with Twitter, you must know term retweet. But in Yahoo Meme, it is called Repost.

6. You can give comment

Yay, you can give comment to another user status or share. Twitter has this feature too called “reply”.

7. You can follow another user

Same with Twitter, you can follow another user and you can read their all updated status in your Yahoo Meme dashboard.

Yahoo Meme, A New Microblogging Website

Yahoo! has announced a new microblogging website called Yahoo Meme. It can be considered as a Twitter clone but with more features such as image, video and audio sharing. Yahoo Meme is still closed for registration but you can leave your email there to get the account. However, I’m still in registration process and still not be approved. I’ll review another features if I successfully be registered.
